ODSVS Fund Needs $7.5 Million to Stabilize Services for Survivors.

In Oregon approximately 18 people die every year due to domestic violence. Last year over 8,000 women, many with children, could not access domestic violence shelters to escape abusive homes.  While the Ways and Means Committee did increase some funding for services, the Oregon Domestic and Sexual Violence Services Fund (ODSVS) through the Department of Justice budget is still $3 million dollars short of ensuring adequate services throughout Oregon.
